To the anon with the frenchie with sensitive skin... what do you mean by hypoallergenic food? Bullys almost always have food allergies and it's usually either to grains or certain proteins. My bully is mostly allergic to grains but also lower grade meats so he eats Taste of the Wild (always grain free) with a salmon protein base and he does really well... some times veterinarians have no idea what to recommend for dog foods... hope you figure it out soon!
Thank you for the advice. I am more worried about what he/she had to say about these ‘panic attacks’… but diet definitely could play a big role in overall health condition. I just hope they’ll find out what causes the problems before it got late.
my frenchie has skin problems and is constantly gnawing and itching at her skin. when she gets into her 'panic attacks' as my mom calls them, she is relentless and usually runs around back and forth-pacing. do you think this means she has serious problems, or could it just be her skin condition? she is already on hypoallergenic foods, but i'm scared.
Oh wow! This doesn’t sound good at all!
My boyfriend had a pup (springer spaniel though) who had sort of doggy epilepsy and she was relentless during and after her attacks, panting and running in circles. I’m no expert, but it might be micro-seizures or smth, that you might mistakenly interprete as ‘panic attacks’. Needless to say, that boyfrend’s spaniel passed away last fall… simply did not recover from one of her seizures.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - next time it happens, rush your dog to the vet! Do not wait until it gets worse.
