Because French bulldogs make the world better. Every day. This blog has no commercial purpose whatsoever. I just LOVE frenchies! Feel free to submit your image: dailyfrenchie@gmail.com

I post pictures of dogs that I have found in the interwebs and try to give a link for the original source, if possible. In case you are a photographer and want me to remove your picture, drop me a note and I will gladly do this.

On Thursday, May 3rd, SNORT was contacted about a beautiful 5 year old black masked fawn French Bulldog who had been dropped at a vet clinic to be euthanized due to a back injury. Sadly, like all too many Frenchies, Nina Simone had injured her back and lost use of her hind legs. Because Nina’s former owner waited nearly a whole week to get her into a vet (and when she finally did, it was to euthanize her), the chances of Nina recovering any movement in her hind end were extremely slim…Luckily, at the vet instead of putting her down, they started to look for a rescue - one of the rescues they’ve contacted was S.N.O.R.T.

Nina arrived to the foster care, and soon magic began: when no one else hoped for Nina to walk again, she stood up on her own not once but twice! Her foster mom rushed her to the specialists, where after a second exam they were told - Nina needs a surgery, but there is 90% of chance she will walk again!

May 18th the surgery was performed and went extremely well. Nina is recovering fast. Unlike the budjet of S.N.O.R.T., unfortunately. Please consider donating to help cover the expenses of Nina’s surgery and future therapy to help her regain strength in her hind legs.

HERE IS A LINK. ANY DONATION COUNTS.

Sammy is looking for his forever home!
Sammy is a 32 pound lump of love, in a good health, neutered, fiercely loyal, gets very attached and will follow you everywhere. He jumps up on the couch or bed and likes to sleep touching you. Sometimes he will cry like a baby if you don’t let him.  He is very intelligent and knows what he can get away with! As usual, to every good side, there is a not-so-good one: Sammy is protective of his crate and can be food aggressive when it comes to other dogs, but with a human you can take his dish away while it is still half full (and you can still count 5 fingers!). He also has been known to be dog aggressive, so he’ll be at his best if he can be the only dog in the house. He is laid back most of the time and only plays if it doesn’t take to much energy.

Here is what his foster mom has to say: “Sammy decided it was his job to help provide for dinner so one night he stalked and captured a large lizard…………but………..one look at his foster mom’s face made him doubt that lizard stew was quite up her alley. Still, Sammy felt he should bask in the glory of the hunt and his jaws were not opening to drop anything!  A long hour later, he got tired of the idea of lizard gumbo, gave in, dropped the lizard and came back in the house “Harrumph, silly humans……………..” Due to his high prey drive, he is not safe in a home that does not have any snakes, turtles, cats, bunnies……………or lizards”.
If you feel that you can provide a strong, but loving hand for this adorable hunter, as well as teaching him some good manners, apply for him here:
